| | Hello all,
The 2009 Women in Photography / Lightside Individual Project Grant recipients were announced on June 10th at the National Arts Club in New York City! We realize that many of you may already have heard the news ... but we wanted to provide a set of links in one e-mail so everyone can easily access the works of both winners.
Erika Larsen has been awarded the $3000.00 grant for her project Sami, The People and a special $500.00 runner-up grant was added for Erica Allen's project Untitled Gentleman. Clicking on the images below will redirect you to wipnyc.org where you can review extended portfolios from each series. Use the links to the left to connect with the artists and sponsors individual websites.
Lightside and LTI wish to thank Amy Elkins and Cara Phillips of Women in Photography, Amani Olu of Humble Arts Foundation and the National Arts Club for their effort, support and guidance in making this project a reality.
A special thanks goes out to all the entrants whose excellent work made the selection process so difficult. We all feel that the project was a great success and are looking forward to 2010 for the next submission season.
